Shopcade Style Battle

Image
In April, I entered the Style Battle on the brand new Shopcade app. So firstly, what's the app? It's sort of like instagram, except it's solely for posting outfits, looks, items even makeup etc. and tagging where they are from. So really, it's lookbook meets instagram. However you can also search brands, shops or even a trend or an item of clothing and a vast selection of things will come up and hopefully show you exactly what you've been looking for. For example, if you searched 'kimono' it would come up with all the kimonos that are in the shops right now and which shops they're from! (As if online shopping could get any easier). So once you've found the perfect item, you can add it to your want list (hint hint birthday pressie list) or, if you already own that kimono you can add it to the list of things you own; I have a widget for this on my blog meaning my followers can find anything I post in a look super easy, or add it straight on to their li...

Quilt Me

Image
Found this perfect spot to take pictures of this quilted floral print skirt. I find this style doesn't normally suit me, but this one from asos fitted really well and was super cheap in the sale so was definitely worth it. I also like the less in-your-face prints when it comes to florals, as I have previously been a walking stinging spot for bees and the like. It's nice to have a pretty skirt for spring/summer but the colours are still muted, so I can carry it on into winter (and keep it monochrome as my inner emo still tells me to do). I used my bike to add to the sporty vibe, and also the hint of green on the skirt matches the mint paintwork. I also fell off my bike recently, so I'm very battered and bruised and limping around like an elderly lady due to a painful hip (ouch).  I've recently ordered some white leather hi-top converse: anyone think I can match them to this skirt?           Republic T shirt - 2 ASOS Skirt - 9 Topshop socks Select sandal...

Student Discounts with Unidays

Image
One of the perks of being a student (despite all the costliness of being one) is student discount; it's pretty much everywhere you go. So if you're a student, or even in sixth form you can get this. You can confirm your student status here . Or if you're like me and your Sixth Form wasn't on the list, you can use ID in store, or an NUS card. But all universities are. Right now there are loads of places you can get an increased discount so here are some of the things I would go for... Motel Rocks always has 20% off for students but they've bumped it up to 25% asos Miss Selfridge Ark Urban Outfitters Check out the full list here
